Jackie Morris is a writer and illustrator. A graduate of Bath Academy of Art, she has worked in illustration and design for disparate companies from The New Statesman, New Socialist, Independent, Guardian and Radio Times, to Greenpeace and Amnesty International. Her first children’s book illustration for Caroline Pitcher’s Jo’s Storm was published in 1999, and she has continued this work since. She was awarded the Kate Greenaway Medal for children’s illustration in 2019 for her work on Robert Macfarlane’s The Lost Words, voted the most beautiful book of 2016 by UK booksellers.
