J. Yuen Ling Chiu - After The Rain

Ling is a London-based printmaker and artist educator, from Toronto, Canada. Her artistic practise explores patterns of memory and architecture, particularly the relationships between urban landscapes, migration, and empire. For CUH Arts, Ling has produced a new work in her ‘Improvisation’ series, which she has been working on for three years. She spent time foraging some of the plants, flowers and grasses that grow across the Addenbrooke’s and Nine Wells nature reserve sites, creating a print which is of and from the hospital.

Ling graduated from Slade School of Art in 2007 and has had solo shows in London, Amsterdam and Canada. As an educator her speciality is in printmaking, researching and teaching an inclusive pedagogy in the studios and technical workshops of higher education.
